Bay Watch: Kanye and Obama at Warfield SF [Videos]
Last Friday, Air Force One arrived in the Bay Area at SFO. President Obama was in town on a DNC fundraiser swing. He was greeted by Gov. Jerry Brown and SF Mayor Ed Lee, fresh from Rosenburg, Oregon. He then arrived at an exclusive fundraiser hosted by Drew Houston (co-founder of Drop Box). It was a private event with only 20 tickets sold, going at $34,000 a pop. The president talked gun control.
He stayed at the Fairmont hotel in Nob Hill. During his stay police were heavy in attendance, setting up road blocks causing traffic in the neighboring areas, and barricades as onlookers were posted just to catch a glimpse of the POTUS.
Saturday Obama Spoke at the Warfield theatre. He talked more politics as well as gave the performer of the evening advice on being president, reffering to Kanye's VMA announcement for the 2020 campaign [Video below].
Kanye arrived at the event with his wife Kim and daughter North West. He performed a beautiful arrangement of his newer hits and classics such as "Through The Wire", "Testify", "Stronger" and "All Falls Down" [Video below]. You can see his love for his music in the way he does not want to leave the stage, extending his performance by more than a few songs. All in all a great day in music and politics in the heart of the Bay Area.
