Plus Facts & Favorites
East Palo Alto native Chi'ma (chee-muh) grew up in many Bay Area cities including San Leandro, Richmond, and Pinole. She was raised by her Mom Veronica with her three siblings Jessica, Jess a.k.a Boue, and Walter a.k.a Tre. Her Dad, Jess Sr. was released from prison when she was 12. He then had another child, Chi'ma's fourth sibling Jailah. From then on she spent weekends and summers back in EPA with her Dad.
Growing up she looked up to Aaliyah and Marilyn Monroe heavily. Aaliyah represented the singer/dancer she wished to be and Marilyn represented the model and passionate spirit she felt she was. She spent many of her childhood years learning all of Aaliyah as well as other artists such as Chris Brown, Ciara, and Missy Elliot's dances, and studying the poise and grace she saw in Marilyn.
Hosting a passion for many things, Chi'ma's talents lie in a number of places a major part being writing. She expresses this through different outlets such as songwriting, blogging, and Journalism. Her other talents include Modeling, Rapping, and Dancing and can be seen in the "Gallery" and "Videos" links. Being a Scorpio she's very passionate about positivity and plans to create a platform to promote healthy living through mental wellness, spirituality, and fitness.

I loved my co-workers, and I met a couple celebs when I worked there. The Grand was my second fav, it was a high-rise luxury apartment in downtown Oakland I worked security at. I just chilled and did homework for school, and always brought my laptop for the free wifi. Also met a few Raiders and Warriors players who lived there.
Where have you worked: I started working when I was 13 at McKnight's Family BBQ in EPA, then Century Theaters in Richmond, after that Wendy's in Pinole until I turned 18, my favorite job was at Elephant Bar Restaurant in Emeryville, then I started doing security at Securitas for 7 months at UPS in Richmond, got the upgrade when I started working at Allied Barton Security for almost two years, and I recently just quit working at a Canibus grow where I farmed Marijuana for four years. I'm currently pursuing a career in Bartending which I'm licensed in.
